See what other’s are saying about us!
They have been working on helping me recover from abuse and find safety from a stalker in my hometown. This place has helped me work through it.
The staff really cares about us. They are very willing to work with me to help me with my goals. I feel safer now because I was able to get myself and my baby away from a dangerous situation. I am so thankful to know that I am finally getting the help that I need.
I’ll start with this. In almost 11 months I’ve lived here, I’ve had more stability than I’ve had my entire life.
The staff here are INCREDIBLE!
Each and every one of them have a heart of gold and I really do consider them family. There is no question that they truly care about their residents unconditionally. They help you anyway they can, but also teach us independence, which I personally struggled with. They teach us that we matter!
At Hope Springs I’ve been able to maintain sobriety and hold down a job longer than ever before. Hope Springs is such a huge blessing to anyone who walks through their doors!
It was truly a godsend when I had no safe place to live. I was not safe at my house and had been couch-surfing for about 6 weeks, wondering how in the world I could possibly get out to someplace safe, when I was just a stay-at-home housewife with no income.
The program provided the safe living place that I needed which turned out to be better than I could have imagined. The funding allowed me to have a refuge while I was healing from domestic abuse, and waiting for my divorce to be finalized. There was amazing support in so many ways, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. I felt so cared-for by the folks involved in the rapid rehousing program, and they always made sure I was safe and had the things I needed.
This program is also great in that it helped me to get on my feet, kept track of my progress, and helped me be better able to start out on my new life.
A while back I was asked how Hope Springs has helped me. Well, I’m not sure how short I can make this. As a survivor of domestic violence, (and I say survivor because you are only a victim if you choose to be) Hope Springs has helped me find my way out. They gave me a home and hope by choosing to reach out and help those who want to survive and not just be another victim.
Hope Springs has provided various services such as food, clothing, therapy, and numerous other referrals when asked for, or needed. I’ve seen several residents come and go for various reasons, but Hope Springs is a small organization with an overwhelming task of making abused women’s lives safe and manageable. They need all the help they can get to keep providing these amazing services for the women and children who seek help and fight to survive their abuse.
I cannot express enough thanks and gratitude for the help our community gives us women and our children. It’s because of this, any resources will not be wasted.
We are all human and make mistakes, but sometimes all it takes is a helping hand from a place like Hope Springs to change the future for several lives who have been heading in the wrong direction. As long as you try; even if you fail, at least you can say you did what you could. Thank you; sincerely, Hope Springs staff and supporters.
